My focus I see those struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, bipolar, schizophrenia and autism medication management. My communication style I like to use a relaxed approach, trying to be truly present and listening with purpose. I strive to avoid judgments and believe in taking a person at their word. My journey to mental healthcare I practiced as an RN in an acute care hospital for several years and saw firsthand the desperate need for mental healthcare. Because of this, I decided to go back to college to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner. My goals for you It is important to work together as a team. A client’s background, description of their symptoms, things they have already tried, as well as response to medication trials, are all vital components to developing a care plan. My first session with you Our first appointment will be a lot of background questions regarding childhood upbringing and trajectory of current symptoms, mental health screening questions and trying to formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan.
