About Dr. Jeffrey Blank
Dr. Jeffrey Blank is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, formerly the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He was also a charter Board Certified member of the American Board of Podiatric Acupuncture. Additionally, he is Certified by the WENSKE Board of LASER Surgery and is a Certified provider of Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy. Dr. Blank completed his first residency in Foot Care (Podiatry) at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, which emphasized podiatric and orthopedic medicine and surgery, emergency and trauma medicine, diabetic foot problems, and foot-related infections. He then completed a second, two-year surgical residency at Edgewater Medical Center, Chicago, IL, specializing in advanced reconstructive and elective foot and ankle surgery, pediatric foot and ankle surgery, arthroscopic/endoscopic, and laser surgery.
For many years, Dr. Blank commuted between the Chicagoland area and South Florida. In Chicago and Crystal Lake, he provided podiatric, surgical, and consultation services and taught at several podiatric residency programs. He also practiced in South Florida and remains the Medical/Clinical Director of Quality Podiatry Group of Florida, an organization providing podiatric services to thousands of long-term care facility patients.
He offers a wide range of services, from the conservative management of foot and ankle problems to surgical interventions. Dr. Blank is also a provider of durable medical equipment, diabetic shoes, and braces for many patients. He has a special interest in treating peripheral neuropathy and offers some unique approaches that have been successful for many patients.
Personally, Dr. Blank enjoys traveling with his family. He is a SCUBA Divemaster and enjoys visiting wine regions to enhance his collection of fine wines.
