Very nice, professional employees, and Dr was outstanding!
I appreciated that they were able to squeeze me in this morning! Office was beautifully decorated and very clean! Everyone was very nice! Loved Dr. Nelson! Highly recommend!!!
Dr. Nelson took the time to answer my questions and concerns. Highly recommend her!
Very long wait!!
Jennell Nelson is terrific. She is warm and sympathetic but highly professional; makes patients feel at ease and safe even when the diagnosis is worrisome.
I enjoyed my visit and it was worth the wait to see the doctor.
Nice large space. Front office staff friendly. None of the staff that I saw wore name tags or any other identifying credentials, including the physician. Nurse assistant never introduced herself. I was a new patient so the jury's still out.
It was okay
Dr. Did not have time to listen to my concerns
Horrible! Barely able to get a word in at all, only addressed one issue and then ran out, saying she'd be back. When a nurse came in with Rxs I had to ask that the Dr. come back for the 2nd issue. When she returned she was completely snotty & condescending. I get two overriding impressions: she wants to get it done quickly, not well & she's more concerned with the place looking professional than being one herself (in appearance or behavior). If it were just me, I'd be inclined to think it was a fluke, but I heard her speaking to another patient just as curtly and have since read many reviews, in many different places that convey similar feelings. I only chose to come to her in the first place because she accepts my insurance. My preferred Dr. doesn't, but I've learned here that I'm willing to take a hit if it means getting quality care elsewhere. **Also, this is all after they rescheduled my appt. twice!
I went to visit her office on 6/19/17. She advised me that there maybe a problem with the prescription. My pharmacist stated that they need a authorization from the dermatologist. I called and advised her staff of this. I am still waiting on my prescription to be filled by the pharmacy. I called again to get clarification as to why it is taking so long. I left a message last Friday and they never returned my phone. I just wanted a simple explanation. I had to make an appointment with another doctor.
It was excellent. I only had one minus and that is that she did not communicate what may have caused my conditions on the legs and face or eliminate cancer or major Ilness. Like amputation or permanent damage. I did enjoy my visit and plan to recommend her and keep her for years to come. I also plan to get a peel and Botox. I like her and she was genuinely interested.
The doctor took care of my problem. Staff was very nice.
It's a busy practice but worth the wait. Dr. Nelson and her staff are great. I was looking for a practice that specialized in treating women of color and this was perfect.
I would not recommend going here. I wanted to find a dermatologist as I wanted an overall skin check because I had some moles and my mom had recently gotten some removed and I figured at 31 I probably should get a check and I'd been breaking out a lot. I read reviews here and on other sites and decided to go ahead and book an appointment. Once at the office I filled in paperwork and waited about 30 minutes before I was brought back and met with a nurse where I answered a few questions, after about 10 more minutes I saw Dr. Nelson. She was in the room for less than 5 minutes, barely looked over my skin and then prescribed me 2 acne medications/cremes and suggested I purchase a Glycolic/Salicylic Acids spray. After I changed the nurse came back and again suggested the spray as well as getting peels to help with my back. I asked about the prescriptions (and the nurse double checked my pharmacy) and was told to check out and the prescriptions would be ready. I was silly and purchased the spray (though I probably could have gotten it cheaper elsewhere) and was told go have a seat and they would call my name for the prescription when it was ready. I waited another 20 minutes and finally went up to ask -- first of all it is 2017 ALL of my other doctors send prescriptions electronically.... where they went back and 10 minutes later returned with paper scripts. The office staff was friendly but between barely seeing the doctor and then needing to wait 30 minutes for a paper prescription after and they kept up selling products and peels I was not happy with my first dermatologist visit and will be looking elsewhere to find a new one.
The dr was very nice but it took just an hour to be seen when my appointment was at 11 wasn't seen until 12 so that's pretty unacceptable to me...
Extremely professional practice. The customer service of the staff was top notch. Dr. Nelson was extremely knowledgeable, put me at immediate ease although I entered her office concerned about my condition. I left smiling, calm and looking forward to my next visit!! In fact, I went in for one problem, now I'm looking forward to sampling some of the other offerings her office provides. Highly recommend Dr. Nelson!
She was very knowledgeable in the answers she gave to my questions.
Mrs. Nelson and her staff were very friendly!
I did not care for Dr. Nelson. I will definitely will not be returning to her office. She didn't not let you get a word out when I would try to speak w/ her and would not listen to my concerns. I felt like I was being rushed like I was at a fast food restaurant.
Made a plausible recommendation that no one had ever made before.
I am very unsatisfied with the treatment I received. I felt the doctor rushed through my appointment. I came for treatment of scars which she made worse and now I have to go to another doctor to get further treatment. I would not recommend this practice at all.
I like Dr. Nelson, the office and staff but waiting over an hour for a scheduled appointment is ridiculous.
I like her a lot. She made me feel comfortable even though talking about my skin problem was embarrassing. She assured me I was in the right place and that she was going to take care of me! She was all smiles and the staff was great too. I'd recommend her, of course.
Nice office. Great front desk staff, and Doctor was pleasant , nice , and fast.
Excellent !!! Great Doctor
I was the first one to arrive in the morning and no one was even at reception to greet me. I was waiting for at least 60 minutes and their credit card machine was not working for co-payment, luckily I had cash on me. Once I finally was taken back to the exam room I waited at least another 20 minutes. I could hear my doctor having a personal conversation with her employee outside of the exam room. She finally came in and almost instantly started listing off different prescriptions for me to go on. She barely even looked at my skin. She didn't care if i had questions she literally was leaving the room as i was trying to ask questions. I will never be going here again and will suggest anyone against it as well.
I have been to other dermatologists who could really care less about your concerns and more about selling their skin care products. I would consider Dr. Nelson a "real" dermatologist. She listened to my concerns and addressed them. Thank you! The office staff was very nice as well. That's very important to me, too.
I am looking for a new dermatologist. I have waited for over an hour for the two appointments I have had and I am not doing it anymore. I consider this doctor quite unprofessional. I also don't feel that this doctor has shown me the necessary patient care and customer service that a paying customer deserves.
Seemed to have to wait a long time in waiting room before and again when waiting to see doctor in a room where I had to undress and was cold so used my coat as blanket. Doctor did apologise for wait when she did see me.
Understands patient interaction and very knowledgeable. Thanks.
Having had to wear that robe for more then an hour was not appropriate. I had to stand the chills and waiting to be seen was not pleasant. After all of that ordeal, the robe was apparently wasn't needed as the doc didn't really check my skin thoroughly.
This was my 3rd and last trip to this clinic. I found the staff to be impersonal to the patients and socialized way too much with each other. The first and third visits were riddled with insurance questions and the staff's inability to know insurance policies. This last visit was perticularly awful for several reasons. 1. There was a drug rep there who was loud and obnoxious. The staff put several calls on hold to converse with this lady. 2. Staff didn't know insurance policies. 3. Kept waiting 45 minutes without an apology 4. Level of care was ridiculous as the doctor stood at least 2 feet from me and never really examined me. Will not go back!
never going back again!!! waste of my money. she seemed very busy and didn't even gave enough time to look at my problem. it seemed like she just wanted to get things done asap.
Dr. Nelson seems very knowledgeable about dermatology. She is very attractive, kind, and personable. Once we got in to see her, she addressed the issue with confidence and the treatment was successful. We had to wait over an hour to be seen, which was boring. Bring a book or a laptop to kill the time.
She is an excellent dermatologist!
My care was excellent, however, the waiting time was very long. The medical staff was very nice and made the long wait time bearable.
It was my first time seeing a Dermatologist and she made me feel very comfortable.
I think she is fabulous. I think the wait time was absolutely ridiculous.
Bueno pensé qué ella ablava español y qué nos entenderíamos pero no pero Alfinal siempre me senti satisfecha por las personas tan amables qué tienen para traducir gracias y si los recomiendo.
I would not recommend unless you have plenty of time to wait. I got there at 940 for a 945 appointment. The doctor came in the room at 1119 and was done by 1126. That was unacceptable, considering there were people who came in 30-45 minutes after me and were seen and gone before I went back. A 20 or 30 minute wait is one thing but 1.5 hours is unacceptable.
She was very personable, and knew her stuff. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only problem was wait time before appointment.
Quick review: The wait was a bit ridiculous, but I was happy and hopeful by the end of the appointment. I was a new patient, so it took a bit for them to process my paperwork - something I completely understand. I spoke with Dr. Nelson's student/trainee first; she was thorough and very sweet, but she didn't come back into the room during my time with Dr. Nelson to listen to her treatment plan. I was getting pretty frustrated by the wait but when Dr. Nelson finally saw me, it was totally worth it. She was very understanding and took her time to listen to me. I have had many acne treatments over the years, but she recommended some new things for me to try and came up with a great plan. Acne, especially for adult women, can be exhausting. I think her own experience with it informs her approach -- not only is she extremely knowledgeable, but she is also very empathetic. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.
Other than a long wait caused by a mix-up with Dr. Nelson's new office, it was an excellent visit. She and her staff were apologetic for the long wait, and overall, the staff was friendly and efficient.
I liked her, but it was a long wait.
Dr. Nelson was so very kind and took really good care of me. She was funny yet very professional.
