About Dr. Jennifer Agnew
Jennifer Agnew, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate patient care to the New York community. She earned her medical degree from New York Medical College and completed her residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Dr. Agnew further specialized by completing a fellowship at North Shore University Hospital, gaining extensive experience in abdominal colon and rectal surgery as well as the management of complex anal and rectal disease. She is skilled in all aspects of colon and rectal surgery and maintains a particular clinical interest in minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic, robotic, and transanal approaches. Dr. Agnew has conducted clinical research within her field and has been invited to present her work at local and regional colon and rectal surgical society meetings. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

Dr. Agnew is extremely sweet, attentive and efficient. This can sometimes be a stressful situation due to the nature of the specialty but she speaks to you during the process so you’re a little distracted from what’s going on. A welcomed distraction. I highly recommend her.

Bright window-bordered office overlooking Lexington Avenue, and the staff as bright and friendly and informative and helpful as the sun illuminating the afternoon.
Dr. Agnew was patient, to the point, explained everything that was going on during the examination and explained treatment options, in a warm caring-doctor demeanor.
Feel in good hands there, literally and figuratively.

The NP Jenny as really nice. However, the doctor informed me what she’s doing during the examination. I hope she had told me in advance so I feel prepared. The examination was very quick. Then she recommended the treatment.
