Philosophy of care My philosophy when it comes to caring for my patients is to treat them the same way I would want to be treated. I believe in honesty, respect, and compassion. Why I entered medicine I entered medicine because I enjoy working with a team and helping others. This career gives me the opportunity to teach and care for others as I would want to be cared for. Putting a smile on other people’s faces and making others feel at ease about something as significant as their health is priceless. Community involvement I enjoy community health and being involved in the process towards a positive change. I’ve been a part of outside events such as walks for cystic fibrosis and volunteering at women and children’s shelters. I enjoy teaching at the community college and helping out at my children’s school in the nurse’s office. Personal interests My personal interests include outdoor activities and sports. I love going on nice relaxing hikes with my dogs and skiing with my two kids. In the summer we enjoy going to the beach as much as possible, even if it's just a day trip. While my children are both in middle school, I am very involved with their education as well as their athletics. When it’s time to slow down, I'll always choose a movie night at home with my kids and some snacks.
