What should a new client know about working with you?

* NO INSURANCE ACCEPTED* * NO MEDICAID PATIENTS* * WOMEN'S MENTAL HEALTH PRACTICE* During our first appointment, we will begin getting to know each other. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about my practice policies to make sure we are always on the same page. We will dig into what’s bothering you and what you hope to improve. Then I’ll do what I’ve been expertly trained to do as an integrative reproductive psychiatrist: conduct a women’s mental health assessment and explore the impact of reproductive hormones on your mental health.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

*NO INSURANCE ACCEPTED* * NO MEDICAID PATIENTS* WOMEN's MENTAL HEALTH PRACTICE I offer different levels of medication management care. Consultations: Perhaps you’re already on medication started by another physician but aren’t noticing symptoms improve or are preparing for pregnancy, birth, or lactation and want to be sure your medication is the best fit for both you and your baby. I provide one-time consultations as a way to understand your history, discuss your options, and provide recommendations on medication and supplements moving forward. Ongoing Management: I want to help you reach a level of stability and symptom improvement that feels sustainable for you. In ongoing management, we’ll start by identifying the best medications or supplements for you. We’ll discuss things like cost, side effects, desired results, and your previous history. From there, we’ll meet on a regular basis (usually every 2 weeks to start) to check in on how you’re feeling, what you’re noticing, and what changes may need to be made. If you are pregnant or in the postpartum period, we’ll also check in at the significant hormonal milestones during this time including the first 2 weeks, weaning from breastfeeding, return of menstruation, and the return to work.
