Nurse Practitioners/Advanced Practice Providers DO NOT prescribe schedule II medications, including stimulants, in the state of Georgia due to DEA regulations. We can prescribe non-stimulants to manage Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Starting May 2023, DEA guidelines prohibit prescribing ANY controlled substances, such as Xanax, Ativan, Ambien, etc., without an in-person appointment. (Please note these medications are not the first line of treatment for mental health disorders such as anxiety and insomnia. An in-person appointment does not guarantee a prescription for any controlled substance.)

My name is Jessica Harrison. I am a dual certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Wilkes University.
I have an extensive medical background that includes primary care, urgent care, internal medicine, and hospital medicine. My psychiatric experience includes substance abuse, eating disorders, crisis stabilization, and outpatient services caring for individuals with depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, women's mental health, and bipolar disorder II. It is my standard to provide individualized care, including medication management, to each of my clients.

Client safety is my top concern when providing medication management. Each client can expect a medication treatment plan specific to their needs.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
