Getting to know Dr. Jessica Stoelting
I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master's in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of South Carolina. I specialize in caring for people who are stressed and seeking psychiatric support. My integrative approach goes beyond medications to include supplements, unique lab testing (such as gut health and heavy metals), and lifestyle modifications to help patients optimize their mental health. ADHD testing and coaching, along with a focus on stress management, make my practice distinctive from general psychiatric care. I believe that incorporating the body, mind, and spirit is essential to helping patients return to their best selves.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I approach patient care holistically- which means I incorporate body, mind and spirit when when forming treatment plans. I also expect that the patient will be participating in their care, taking action to make small improvements over time to optimize their mental health.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
The initial visit is one hour long and entails a full psychiatric evaluation. An initial treatment plan is often discussed during this first visit. Depending on the treatment plan, we would then meet again in 2-4 weeks for a 30 minute follow up, unless more time is needed for an evaluation. Supportive therapy and positive psychology are the main types of psychotherapy offered during visits.
Please note-if you are seeking a new prescriber for ADHD, you will need to provide notes from a previous prescriber, a clean urine drug screen result and may need to undergo additional testing at the cost of $100 after the initial visit. This testing is not covered by insurance.
