Philosophy of care My philosophy is providing a safe, non-judgmental environment where patients feel comfortable and heard. I want you to look forward to your visit, knowing I will be empathetic and compassionate. It is important to treat patients as individuals and consider both their physical and mental health. I help patients make informed decisions, so they feel empowered to do what is best for their health. I advocate for my patients and am accessible when needed. As someone whose own family was impacted by challenging pregnancies, cancer and other illnesses, I care for you the same way I would want my family members to be treated. Why I entered medicine Working in medicine was appealing to me from a young age because it offers the ability to meet new people and make a difference in their lives. My OB-GYN rotation was one of the most rewarding experiences during my physician assistant education, and I knew it was the perfect fit for my drive and passion for empowering women. I love having the opportunity to practice preventative care while also playing a role in surgery and labor and delivery. OB-GYN as a specialty provides a unique opportunity to form trusting relationships with my patients in their most vulnerable stages of life. I enjoy the continuity of care in working with patients from their first visits as teenagers, through having their own children and then through perimenopause. It’s a true honor to be a part of patients' pregnancy journeys as they grow their families. Community involvement During my time at DeSales University, I cared for the homeless population at the Allentown Rescue Mission and served on the board of the PA Olympics, raising money for children with congenital heart defects. As a student at Penn State, I danced in THON, standing for 48 hours to raise money for pediatric cancer. I also taught English to international students at the Mid-State Literacy Council.
