What you can expect: Our sessions will begin with creating a snapshot of your life: recent happenings, what you ate, your mood, and what is important to you. After logistics, your input is valuable to the direction of each individual session- whether it is nutrition counseling, reconfiguring goals, trying something new, learning skills such as grocery shopping together or cooking, or if you'd like me to lead the session instead. We will continuously align our objectives with your values so that you can maintain this balance for a lifetime. All that I ask of you is to be accountable for our sessions. My hope isn't for you to reach a specific metric, but rather that you become more resilient to whatever challenges life throws at you. If the current goal does not serve you, we can always modify it. We can be a good fit if you want a dietitian who will listen and works in a more balanced approach. About me: I graduated from UC Davis and CSULB with a master?s in nutrition science. If there is a topic that interests you, I will gladly research it for you. I became a registered dietitian because I wanted to empower individuals to have a nourishing relationship with food. I grew up in a family where food was our culture, and through my experience I can also see how stressful food can be for others relating to food access, diet culture, misinformation, or self-beliefs. Food is so much more than simply sustenance. Food is fuel, memories, and creations. Therefore, I simply hope to share my love for food and to help ease whatever burden you may have. I am a newer dietitian; however, it only means that I will be continuously expanding my skillset and have an open mindset. In my free time, I like cooking, hiking, traveling, and reading mystery novels. I hope that my sessions can be a safe space for you, and I look forward to breaking bread with you soon.
