Getting to know JIN LI

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a passion for helping individuals of all ages find lasting relief from mental health struggles. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and trauma-related symptoms. My approach is holistic and personalized—while medication management is a key part of my practice, I focus on identifying the root causes of mental health challenges, whether they are biological, nutritional, hormonal, or related to lifestyle factors. In addition to traditional treatments, I have experience with advanced therapies like Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Spravato. My goal is to empower clients to better understand their mental and physical health, and to work toward long-term recovery, potentially reducing or even eliminating the need for medication over time.

What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients can expect a collaborative, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment. My style is warm, attentive, and highly individualized—I take time to truly understand your concerns, your strengths, and your goals. I combine evidence-based medication management with a whole-person approach, exploring factors such as sleep, nutrition, hormones, stress, and lifestyle patterns. I believe that clients do best when they feel heard and supported, so our work together will always move at a pace that feels safe for you. Whether you're seeking stability, clarity, or long-term recovery, my goal is to help you feel empowered, informed, and confident in your treatment plan.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical first session includes a thorough psychiatric evaluation where we review your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle factors, and treatment goals. I focus on identifying both immediate concerns and underlying contributors so that we can build a personalized treatment plan together. Follow-up appointments are collaborative and structured. We review your progress, discuss medication responses (if applicable), and explore factors such as sleep, stress, routines, nutrition, and emotional patterns. While I provide medication management, I also integrate psychoeducation and teach practical tools to help you feel more in control of your mental health. I do not offer long-term talk therapy, but I often incorporate brief therapeutic guidance and can provide referrals for ongoing therapy when needed.

She is AMAZING. I needed a new psych to actually listen to what issues I'm having and prescribe something that would work. I was on 3-4 different things and just felt worse and worse. She suggested some changes and I'm confident she will make me feel better. Highly highly reccomend
