She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, followed by advanced fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstructive surgery, and cosmetic dermatology with the internationally renowned Dr. C. William Hanke at the Laser and Skin Surgery Center of Indiana. Dr. Dong has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters in the fields of skin cancer, reconstructive surgery, cosmetics, and psoriasis and is a frequent invited lecturer at national dermatology conferences. She has been recognized with several prestigious research grants and awards, including the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Grant.
