A U.S. Army veteran, Dr. Casas has experience treating veterans and civilians with psychiatric conditions related to trauma, neurologic injury, chronic medical illness, and substance use. He has worked in outpatient and multidisciplinary clinical settings providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, psychopharmacologic management, cognitive and behavioral assessment, and longitudinal treatment for patients with a broad range of psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions. Dr. Casas is bilingual in English and Spanish and has experience treating diverse patient populations across adult psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, and addiction-related conditions. He has also contributed to academic literature as a co-author in the Oxford University Press textbook Fundamentals of HIV Medicine, including the chapter “Substance Use in the HIV Population.”
