About John Gonzalez
Using an integrative, functional medicine approach, we aim to treat the root cause of your chronic condition or symptoms. To provide you the quality of care and time you deserve, this is a cash-only practice. We do not accept insurance. A credit card is required to be on file to make an appointment.
This is primarily a telemedicine practice with the option of home visits for an additional cost. Appointment times are limited, but additional times are available and can be arranged around your schedule.
John D. Gonzalez is a Board-Certified and Colorado and Texas licensed Adult Nurse Practitioner and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. He has practiced in internal medicine since 2004. He currently maintains a per diem practice as a hospitalist and serves as faculty in a graduate college of nursing, teaching the next generation of nurse practitioners.
John earned both his Doctor of Nursing Practice and bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University and his master's in Adult Health Nursing from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He also holds a nursing diploma from Lutheran Medical Center.
He has a special interest in wellness, prevention, nutrition, and optimizing chronic disease management. Additional interests include nurse practitioner scope of practice and medical-legal consulting.

Dr. Gonzalez is an extremely knowledgeable health professional. During the initial consultation, he asked a multitude of questions and provided great details on the factors that impacted my health. Since that time, he has worked with me on a health improvement plan. He is personable and compassionate and spends time to educate me on the root causes and prevention.

Dr. Gonzalez speaks honestly and allowed my input for what was discussed. It is nice to be collaborative with the person who has the knowledge to treat you, but who also takes the time to ask what my opinions are. He also made sure I understood and spoke in terms that were easy for me to follow. Additionally, I did not feel rushed through the visit. I am thankful for his approach and caring manner with me.

He has been responsive to any concerns or questions I have had, and follows up quickly. I definitely recommend him if you are looking to find a provider who is thorough in his practice, considerate of your life and what is realistic for you, and adaptable to any changes or issues that may come up in your life.

Dr. Gonzalez continues to exceed my expectations. Through the quality time he spends during each visit, his attention to my needs and concerns, and through his thorough approach I have never felt better.
