About Dr. John Hou

Dr. John Y. Hou graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master of Science degree from the Florida Institute of Technology, completed his Doctoral course studies, except his dissertation at Barry University and graduated from Florida College of Integrative Medicine earning his Doctor of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture Physician designation. His special training includes: pain management, sports acupuncture, electro dermal screening, immunology, immunotoxicology and homotoxicology, Chinese herbs, and Qi Gong therapy. He also received certification in addictionology from the American College of Addictionology and Compulsive Disorders and beside interning with Dr. Joseph Hou, he also interned with many famous doctors in China especially at the Beijing Hospital, Xi Yuan Hospital, Guang Zhong and Long Hua Hospital in Shanghai China. Dr. Hou worked as a Manger, Research and Developments Officer with the United States Army earning the Meritorious Service, Army Commendation and the Army Achievement Medals and was a four year varsity letter winner in Fencing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Currently, he is a member of the Florida State Oriental Medical Association and the American Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
