About Dr. John L'Insalata
Dr. L'Insalata is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and holds subspecialty certification in Sports Medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Cornell University and completed his residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center and the Hospital for Special Surgery Main Hospital. He then pursued fellowship training in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he served as team physician for the University of Pittsburgh athletic teams and the Robert Morris College football team, and worked professionally with the Pittsburgh Ballet. Dr. L'Insalata has authored numerous orthopaedic articles and book chapters and has presented nationally and internationally on the treatment of athletic injuries, arthroscopic surgery, and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee. He is a Clinical Instructor in Orthopaedic Surgery at Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

I have seen this doctor before - he’s awesome and so is his staff. My issue was that I booked through Zocdoc and then called in the morning to confirm. Zocdoc had booked me at a time that the office wasn’t actually open. They were able to schedule me later in the day, but I never would have known that if I didn’t call myself.

He is the most professional orthopedic doctor I have seen. I had spent a fortune seen other doctors in Manhattan in which got a top of the line doctor to go under my knee surgery (arthroscopy) and had a limited time that didn’t know about it and wasn’t counting on it either.
On the contrary, Dr. L’Insalata has given me many options working parallel with me on my wellness giving me a chance to overcome my health issue in a positive and even affordable way.
I highly recommended him as your orthopedic doctor.
