About Dr. John Yuen
Dr. Yuen grew up in Hong Kong. At the age of 13, he immigrated with his family to the United States and lived in Houston, TX through his high school years. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of California at Berkeley. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. Internal Medicine residency was completed at the Presbyterian Hospital in the city of New York in 1998. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and has been providing medical and preventive care for patients in Dallas since 1998. He resides in Dallas with his wife and son.

Overall my experience was perfect. I had been dealing with an issue that landed me in the ED 3 times. Dr.Yuen
was able to review all my paperwork and took his time to explain everything thoroughly that I left the appointment with peace of mind. Although the wait time as a first time patient was long I understand why. They are very thorough in getting your medical history to better tend to your needs.
Though he is a bit far for me personally I would definitely return and would recommend him if they are close to his office.

I had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Honling Yuen, MD and his entire team! From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by his staff who were friendly, professional, and very helpful. The office itself was clean, organized, and welcoming—it immediately put me at ease.
Dr. Yuen is absolutely amazing. He took the time to really listen, answer all my questions, and explain everything thoroughly in a way that made me feel both informed and cared for. His compassion and professionalism stood out, and I truly felt like I was in great hands.
Finding a doctor who not only provides excellent medical care but also makes you feel comfortable and respected is rare, and Dr. Yuen and his staff delivered that and more. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring, knowledgeable, and outstanding primary care physician!

The doctor was condescending and very rude in behavior. The wait time was over an hour to be seen. He complained to the patient that he has to do another new patient appointment, so he can’t throughly finish the visit because there wouldn’t be enough time. Even though he made her wait over an hour. He genuinely did not show any care for the patient nor did he even try to resolve one thing. He interrogates his patients as if they are lying about their symptoms, so the patient feels as if they are explaining to prove their personal experience and struggles are validating. That’s very triggering to be a patient struggling with an issue and making the effort to get help and they are met with a person who treat them as if they are lying. After he realized I wasn’t lying, I told him I was unsatisfied with how he treated me. He told me he was just doing his job. That was mind blowing, because all he did was sit there and try to play judge. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Staff was very pleasant. Dr. Yuen is well-spoken, articulate, and created a relaxed environment in the exam room. Physical exam was thorough and he took his time speaking with me. After this visit, I am glad I chose him.

the address was wrong. brand new office and very disorganized. Dr looked extremely different from picture. Dr was discrimatory to my issues and put me down. Was only friend when talking about sexual issues. Beware any women going to this Dr!!
