About Dr. Johnny Alexander
At Warrior NYC, we take a hands-on approach with every patient, using the most advanced chiropractic & physical therapies available. Our sessions are one-on-one, for up to an hour- guaranteeing you have undivided attention of a doctor with the skill set to diagnose & treat your condition. Dr. Johnny Alexander is a well-known & respected chiropractor in New York City, and a considered a thought leader in his field. He specializes in sports medicine and functional rehabilitation. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science & Kinesiology at Sacred Heart University in 2009, and went on to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College, graduating with honors in 2012.
Dr. Alexander has a passion for working on the sidelines and in the locker room and truly enjoys the challenge of progressing individuals to higher levels of performance. He evaluates the entire kinetic chain to properly correct and restore function to the spine and surrounding soft tissues. He has had the honor of treating athletes of all levels: CrossFit, NFL, NHL, NCCAA, BJJ/MMA fighters, and weekend warriors. He has served as the official chiropractic physician for the Chesapeake Bayhawks major league lacrosse team and the Towson University Tigers.
Dr. Alexander has been a certified Active Release Technique (A.R.T.) provider for 8 years, and also has extensive training in Graston therapy, Kinesiotaping, and SFMA/FMS.

First time seeing a chiropractor ever. Had lower back pain. His calendar seemed busy but managed to find a slot (always good sign). His assistant went out of her way to look at how much it would cost me and explained the process. Appointment was great, had cupping and alignment. He explained everything & great bedside manner. Started on time. Hoping back improves soon. There was no pressure to book appointments. Highly recommend.

Dr. Alexander is a wonderful chiropractor, and truly cares about his patients. I went in for an initial visit after suffering a locked neck and shoulder in June, and have been seeing him since for regular adjustments. He is personable, knowledgable, and creative in his mix of traditional adjustments with cupping and other techniques. I couldn't recommend him more highly!

I hadn't been to a chiropractor in nearly ten years, so I was long overdue! Dr. Alexander took great care to listen to how my previous treatments went, what ailments had carried over through the years, and most importantly, what I was looking to improve upon in our visits. His treatment is comprehensive and deliberate, all while feeling very curated. Walking a least two miles a day in the city and working out fairly often, I can say that my mobility has bettered, the frequency of my migraines has gone down and I am sleeping with less aches and pains.

I can't recommend Dr. Johnny highly enough. I initially made an appointment because I was having an issue with turning my neck and I was able to move it again after only one visit. Since then, Dr. Johnny has changed the way I feel daily. He has a very warm bedside manner and you can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. Dr. Johnny also encourages me to be more active. Overall, he's one of the best doctors I've ever been to. I know it sounds like I'm exaggerating, but I'm not! I highly, highly recommend you visit Dr. Johnny if you're looking for a chiropractor in New York City.

I've been searching for a chiropractor for a while since my move to NYC (it's been 2 years), so I'm glad to have found Johnny! I've been through a few chiros here in the city and none were a great fit for me. They were all clinic-style, churning through 10-15 minute appointments-- not great.
Johnny takes his time to address my issues and has helped me a ton with my neck and shoulder pain with manual work and adjustments. He's also super personable (but professional), and always responds promptly to any questions/reschedules.
I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a chiro in the city!

Dr. Johnny is by far the best chiropractor I've ever been to. It's the first time in ages that I've felt actual relief! I've been to other chiropractors before and even through they were good, my experience with Dr. Johnny is by far top notch. Definitely sets the bar. He does a mix of physical therapy, chiropractic care, gua sha, cupping, massage to address all your issues. There's hardly ever any wait time, he's super accommodating when it comes to appointments, & the space is very clean. His bedside manner is great; he let's you know throughout the entire appointment what he's doing & why he's doing it & tips on how to manage any reoccurring problems.
Unfortunately he doesn't accept UnitedHealthcare Oxford, despite what ZocDoc has listed. However, he's worth the time & money, insurance or not! Will definitely be back.

I hurt my back while on vacation and needed to find a chiro within a short time frame before I left for vacation again. I found Dr, Johnny on Zocdoc and booked an apt in a few hours. He was quick to confirm and get me my paperwork. He was very friendly and helpful. He suggested cupping which really helped release the tension in my back. Will definitely be back for a follow up apt while I continue to heal!

After a lifetime of injuries, this is the only place I trust to get me back to 110%. The Chiropractic services offered by Dr. Alexander are like no other rehab program I've ever been a part of. Truly unique and practically a miracle as to how quickly he gets you back on your feet.
The manual work that he does on you, through massages/adjustments/stretching/cupping, you name it, leaves you feeling better than you did upon arrival every single time. He also educates you so much on the specifics of your injury. So much to the point where not only are you fully comfortable with the fact that he knows what he's doing each step of the way, but that he truly cares to help you.
For reference sake, I had a back surgery in January and was playing basketball again by March, not to mention dunking for the first time in almost 5 years. I owe it entirely to the time I've spent with Warrior Chiropractic as well as the House of Physical Therapy, which is in the same office, all one team.
Bottom line...he'll leave you in better shape than you were in before you even got injured, and Johnny, along with the Physical Therapy team, are all awesome people who I've had an absolute pleasure working with.
