He has been practicing in Orange County, California since 2001 and has performed well over a thousand surgical cases in his career helping people throughout Southern California. During his career Dr. Bennett has received many awards including recognition for outstanding medical and surgical performance from local hospitals, surgery centers and medical groups. Dr. Bennett received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara where he completed a dual tract of pre-medical courses and his degree in communication studies. After college he received a Pre-Doctoral Medical Research Award and spent one year at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland performing medical research. Dr. Bennett then received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois where he graduated with Honors. He then moved to Southern California where he completed his comprehensive foot & ankle surgical residency at Western Medical Center where he focused on diabetic limb salvage, trauma, sports medicine and elective foot & ankle surgical procedures. During his free time Dr. Bennett enjoys traveling, scuba diving, playing basketball, playing golf, reading and spending time with his family. He has coached many of his children’s sports teams including baseball, basketball and soccer teams. Dr. Bennett was born in Phoenix, Arizona then moved to Arcata, California for his high school years. He still cheers for the Phoenix Suns basketball team and the Arizona Cardinals football team and takes his family to Arizona for a game or two every season.
