The office person didn't show up so Dr Feistmann had to do everything by himself. As a result, I was the last patient see and he closed the office after I left. However, my eyes had been dilated for the test and I had a very difficult time getting back home as I couldn't see very well. This problem lasted for a few hours and I felt it would have been better to have waited in the office for a while until my eyesight had adjust back to normal.

Dr Feistmann is dedicated to providing the highest quality retina care with personalized service. The office has state of the art diagnostic, imaging and laser equipment and a warm, friendly staff.
Dr Feistmann completed his undergraduate, medical school and ophthalmology residency at University of Florida, Gainesville. He completed his vitreoretinal surgical fellowship at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Following fellowship, Dr. Feistmann was appointed assistant professor of ophthalmology at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and New York Medical College. He won a resident teaching award and the John S. Hermann Memorial Award for excellence in teaching. Prior to opening his private practice in New York City, Dr. Feistmann has been an adjunct assistant professor of ophthalmology at University of Utah and was clinical director of the retina service and medical director of the ophthalmology service at the University Florida.
Dr. Feistmann’s research interests include diabetic retinopathy and surgical techniques for secondary intraocular lens placement. Dr. Feistmann’s professional interests include macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, epiretinal membrane, macular hole and complex retina surgery. Dr. Feistmann is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Retina Specialists.
