About Dr. Jonathan Nzoma
Jonathan Nzoma, DO, is an experienced orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist who cares deeply about his community of patients in Michigan, and strives to provide them with the highest-quality medical care.
Dr. Nzoma attended medical school at Michigan State University, graduating with an osteopathic medicine degree. He then went to Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (Midwestern University) in Chicago, for his internship, before completing his residency in orthopedic surgery there as well. After his residency, he returned to Michigan to complete a fellowship in sports medicine at Detroit Medical Center. Following his fellowship in sports medicine, Dr. Nzoma became certified by the AOBOS in sports medicine in addition to general orthopedics certification.
Dr. Nzoma takes a thorough approach to diagnosing and treating his patients, spending time gathering as much information as possible about each person’s symptoms and what could be affecting their health. He takes great care to provide accurate diagnoses, which allows him to offer the very best treatment solutions for his patients.
Dr. Nzoma keeps himself up to date with medical research, using technological advances and new therapies such as robot-assisted surgery and regenerative medicine techniques whenever they can help his patients.
When he’s not with his patients, Dr. Nzoma enjoys spending time with his family and keeps himself fit playing basketball and golf, lifting weights, and participating in high-intensity interval training.

Dr. Nzoma took time to answer all my questions fully and helped me gain a greater understanding of my diagnosis, the non-surgical and surgical options, and the associated risks. I appreciate the warmth and openess of Dr. Nzoma and the office staff to answer any questiins that might arise as I weigh the decision of which option wil work best for the quality of life I desire.

I had the luck to schedule an appointment relatively soon as other options were further away distance and time wise so I'm grateful for Dr. Nzoma committing to zocdoc.
I was seen by both Dr. Nzoma and Dr. Eric Ferrigan. Both of which explained my x-ray thoroughly and performed an in depth clinical examination on both my injured arms to address my concerns. I appreciated the information they provided as well as logical action plan devised. Definitely recommend if you are able to schedule an appointment at the DMC RIM. Their staff were friendly as well.

Dr. Nzoma was friendly and knowledgeable. He made me feel at ease and took the time to answer my questions and explain what has happening with my knees. He used a visual representation of my knew to illustrate the information. At the end of our meeting he asked me if I needed anything else from him. Then he shook my hand again and said thank you for coming and have a good day. I felt very comfortable with him and I highly recommend him.

The office staff were courteous and attentive. There was only a short wait until I was called back. I had to have xrays taken and I was directed to the xray room immediately. Both of these technicians were polite and friendly. After I was taken to a exam room and my vitals were taken, this staff was also sweet. Dr. Nzoma enter shortly thereafter. He was very kind and patient. He was very knowledgeable and sensitive. I would highly recommend Dr. Nzoma and his staff.
