I liked that this was done during the appointment rather than before in paperwork because it made me feel like the provider was actually interested in my background. He was actually listening to me because he asked follow up questions about what I told him and talked later in the appointment about things I said. I’ve been to many mental health providers and it’s rare to feel heard, so I appreciated this. I felt good about the plan and medication he prescribed . And he actually followed through immediately after the appointment and called in my prescriptions. When you have Medical you typically get doctors that aren’t so excited to do their job. But Dr. Porter treated me like a person who deserved quality care. He’s probably the best doctor I’ve had experience with.?”

Dr. Porter teaches residents and medical students and is currently a clinical assistant professor at Western University of Health Sciences and Touro University California. He enjoys being outdoors with his family.
