About Jordana Latozas

Jordana Latozas graduated from the University of Detroit with her Bachelor's degree and earned her Master’s in Acute Care Nursing from Wayne State University in 2010. She began her ACNP career in interventional pain management, focusing on noncancer pain control—treating chronic pain as a crisis for working Americans. As the opioid crisis peaked in 2017, Jordana shifted to addiction medicine, starting in 2016. She quickly recognized gaps in Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) delivery and launched the Recovery Mobile Clinic in February 2020. When the pandemic hit, instead of closing, she expanded availability, staffing, locations, and services, providing addiction treatment, COVID tests, vaccines, and basic medical care. While others limited patients or shifted to remote-only services, Jordana grew her reach, offering hope and healthcare access to communities hardest hit by the pandemic by traveling to homeless shelters, recovery houses, transitional housing, parole offices, and community centers. Under Jordana’s leadership, the Recovery Mobile Clinic has significantly impacted community health through flexible and creative MAT delivery. Her long-term goal is to expand the clinic across the lower 48 states and empower nurse practitioners—engaging NPs in entrepreneurship to create an NP army addressing addiction and broader medical needs nationwide. She aims to bring nursing to the forefront, highlighting its strengths: compassion, empathy, creativity, and excellent healthcare proficiency. Jordana and the Recovery Mobile Clinic have earned recognition including the Top 100 Healthcare Visionaries Award in 2020, the AANP State Award for Excellence in 2022, and the Prestige Award.
