About Dr. Jose Bordon
Dr. Jose Bordon is the CEO and founding chair of Washington Health Institute. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba Facultad de Ciencias Médicas and completed a PhD at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. Dr. Bordon completed his residency training at Providence Hospital/George Washington Medical Center in Washington D.C. and his fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, MD. He has been practicing Infectious Diseases since 2002 and is the former Chief of the Section of Infectious Diseases at Providence Hospital. He is certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Bordon serves as an Assistant Professor at Georgetown University Medical Center.
His leadership roles in medicine and infectious diseases include membership on the Steering Committee of the Community Acquired Pneumonia Organization at the University of Louisville, investigator for the Women's Interagency HIV Study (WIHS) at Georgetown University Medical Center, advisory board member of the American Gene Therapy Clinical Advisory, member of the D.C. Cohort Executive Committee, member of the D.C. Center for AIDS Research (DC-CFAR) Authorship Committee, and member of the Governor's Advisory Council for the American College of Physicians' District of Columbia Chapter.
Dr. Bordon's main interests focus on the holistic health needs of patients, physician education, and research. His favorite research fields include HIV infection, viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, and pneumococcal pneumonia. He has authored more than 50 original manuscripts and has been nominated as a reviewer for over 30 scientific journals.

Very understanding and asked if it was okay to touch me in places so he can examine. Explained that he wants to help with healing of the mind, body and soul. And listened to all my concerns and addressed every thing I questioned about my health. He and his associate were amazing and great!

Dr. Bordon was really cool, he asked all of these questions about my life and self care. At the end of my appointment he asked me if he could speak to my 2.5 yr old son, Felix. I really liked him.
