About Dr. Jose Rivas
Dr. Jose Rivas is a 1999 graduate of the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine. In 2000, he completed an internship year at New York Medical College in Valhalla. In 2001, Dr. Rivas went on to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania until 2004. During his training, Dr. Rivas received multiple awards including the Best Surgeon award throughout his four years of training. Dr. Rivas is proficient in advanced Laparoscopic pelvic surgery including Laparoscopic Hysterectomy. During his residency Dr. Rivas received additional training in urogynecology under the tutelage from Dr. Vincent Lucente, a renowned urogynecologist in the United States. Dr. Rivas’ special interest is in minimally invasive urogynecologic procedures as well as advanced pelvic surgery including vaginal hysterectomy and the latest techniques for incontinence and prolapse surgeries. Dr. Rivas also specializes in patients with high-risk pregnancies and is proficient in basic infertility.

Rude staff. Made me go 40 mins to theyr office to tell me that they don't accept my insurance n they don't do ultrasound which I was booked for. I booked one week in advance.

Dr Rivas was absolutely amazing. I have been to quiet a few OB’s and none compare to him. This was my first visit with him and He is so attentive and comforting. I definitely recommend him!

Totally disappointed. I went to get my HCH levels they let me waiting days for my results to figured out I had a miscarriage. Than I did another blood test to make sure my levels were on 0 and everything was ok and they told me results are ready In 24 hours . It’s been a week !!! And I’m still calling and nobody answered. This is not just “bad service” — this is complete lack of compassion and sensitivity for someone going through the most vulnerable and Hard time.

I would not go back simply because of the lack of professionalism from the lady at the reception. I arrived on time only to find they cancelled my appointment without notification, saying that he was in surgery and yet I had arrived to be seen. Without apologies She said am sorry zocdoc is just a 3rd party provider,we cancelled your appointment his in surgery! I would never go back.
