Patient reviews for Dr. Joseph Pollak
I went in due to illness and I waited over 45 minutes in germ infested waiting room, when doctor finally saw me he had me do a breathing test and prescribed an inhaler for me. Very strange. Medicine didn't help either. Doctor must be getting paid to prescribe inhalers and to do EKG testing.
Both doctor and office staff were pleasant and professional. The whole place was comfortable and calm.
Not a professional atmosphere or demeanor. Answered the phone multiple times during my quick appointment.
Wait time is terrible, there is no point in making appointment. Even if the doctor is not busy, they don’t keep up the appointment timings. No idea what’s with their scheduling process. Doctor was nice and caring, but I just went for my annual physical. It was quick and I didn’t spend more than 15min with the doctor.
A lot of waiting in between time with Dr. and tests, but Dr. Pollak provides great service and bedside manner!
I think the doctor was great. The office interior needs to be updated.
My experience with him was the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. I am 25 and my family has no history of heart problems and I went to see him to have physical and TB test done for a new job. While we were talking, he told me he wanted me to get an EKG done. Um....what? I refused because I just wanted the physical and TB done. He did not complete the physical the first appointment and completed it the second appointment after checking the TB. So in the end he got paid twice for the physical because it took him two appointments to complete it. There were several other issues as well, such as losing my file, and not taking notes during my first appointment; so when I came in for the second he didn't know anything about me. I hope you do not pick him if you are considering him. Also, yes the wait is not great. I waited 40 minutes to be seen.
Very nice Doctor, very friendly and helpful
I really enjoyed my visit at Dr. Pollak. I look forward to going back again. They warn you about the wait when you sign up. It wasn't that bad. He was very friendly and welcoming.
He was great. Very nice; seemed to listen well; great bedside manner. Will continue to see for annual physical.
Don't answer the phone (twice) while seeing a patient
Great doctor but the wait time is frustrating.
Dr. Pollak was a terrific doctor, very professional but still friendly and very easy to speak with. I haven't been to the doctor in a long time and generally, I don't enjoy going to the doctor, but I'm looking forward to catching up with Dr. Pollak at my next check-up.
Office was dirty and disorganized.
Doctor Pollak is a great guy. He seemed rushed and little disheveled, but this was my first visit and everyone has their days. He took time to address my issues and get things sorted out with a previous Doctor that had been very difficult to deal with. His office is a bit old school and not very organized, treatment wise he did very well, ordered tests, and hopefully I'll be on the right track to getting healthy again.
I haven't been to a GP in years and was long overdue. As a result of waiting so long, I had several issues I wanted to address with the Dr. I saw Dr. Michael Pollak at this office and he was fantastic. He systematically addressed my concerns and gave me valuable recommendations. Based on my experience I would strongly recommend him.
Nice man but I had to wait for almost two hours for a routine physical and the office did not notify me that they were behind schedule until I arrived at the office. I also only had my heart and lungs checked....no other procedures. I was expecting at least to have my weight, height, temperature, sinuses, abdominals, etc. examined.
TERRIBLE! I HIGHLY recommend you choose another doctor to visit. This is by far the worst doctor I have ever visited. He has satisfactory bedside manner but is completely unorganized and will not return phone calls. I have been to this office now 3 times and every single time they have messed up a medication request or misplaced test results. Warning: He will also have you do an electrocardiogram (EKG) and a pulmonary function test on almost every visit so he can make more money off of you. If you are looking for an organized office where you do not have to follow up with multiple times before you are taken care of-- Go somewhere else.
It was my first time there, and Dr. Pollak was very nice and professional. I would recommend him.
I went in for a physical and was billed for a EKG that never happen. Also had blood work done and Doctor never called back to follow up. I called and left request for a call and never heard back it's been a month and nothing. Don't know if it's poor office personal or the doctor doesn't care.
There are 2 doctors (presumably related) with the same last name, it wasn't Joseph I saw but as a family medical practice I would highly recommend the care, attention and relaxed atmosphere.
Very Friendly. Did not feel ashamed to tell him anything.
It was a great visit and he has a great bedside manner, however it appears that he mainly treats geriatric patients (or at least specializes therein) which was a bit of a surprise. He also had his office perform an EKG which seemed excessive.
Office staff was professional, no much paper work. I believe Doctor should have spent some more time in explaining the health issue.
It was so thorough and sent me to see a specialist straight away. He was very good. Defo would recommend him!!!
