Acupuncturist

From both my training in Oriental Medicine and my own experience of health and wellness, I have found that it is far more beneficial to address sickness and pain from the root causes, rather than masking the symptoms. But when it’s severe we will all reach for that quick fix and I can help with that too. My goal is to help you find long-term health, both physical and emotional, and the kind that gives you the freedom, energy and capacity to fulfill your own goals and desires. This is a process that takes time and that involves us working together, and I’m in it for the long haul. Our work together begins with me listening: to your immediate symptoms, to what your body can tell me through your pulses and to your health history. From here we will explore the numerous modalities (such as acupuncture, herbs, Tui-Na Massage, etc.) that can be used to strengthen your whole system, allowing your natural healing capacity to operate most effectively to alleviate pain and suffering. I believe that health is a fundamental human right, and strive to make my practice as affordable and accessible as possible. I’m a licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine from the State of New Mexico. I have a diploma from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I completed the 4-year Masters in Oriental Medicine at the Southwest Acupuncture College, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I also obtained a certification in Hari, a Japanese meridian therapy that primarily uses non-insertive acupuncture techniques, from the High Desert Hari Society. In addition to this formal training, I have studied extensively in Functional Medicine, modern vitamins and supplements, personal training and physical fitness.
