About Dr. Josiane Lederman
Dr. Josiane Lederman has been practicing dermatology since 1988. She holds a medical degree from the University of Paris, and completed her dermatology residency at the prestigious Saint -Louis Hospital in Paris. Dr. Lederman finished residency at Harvard Medical School and she joined the dermatology staff at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Lederman is board certified by the French and the American Board of Dermatology, and a fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, as well as a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Lederman serves as a National Trainer for Botox ® Cosmetic, Juvederm ® and Radiesse ® facial fillers. She has authored numerous articles for medical journals on a variety of topics and has been named New York Super Doctor, best physician chosen by her peers, in the NY Times Magazine 2009. Dr. Lederman has been rated top doctor in the New York Metropolitan area every year since 1995. She has also received the prestigious recognition of being named one of the best doctors in New York by the Castle Connolly Guide.

I made an appointment for 5:30 pm and was notified via Zocdoc text message that the appointment time had been changed to 9:00 am. That's kind of insane, especially without a phone call asking me if that would work form me.
I made an appointment with Dr. Lederman, M.D., but saw a PA. When I arrived, they asked me to fill out paperwork and not to worry about rushing because "the doctor" hadn't arrived yet. Maybe the PA has a Doctorate, but she's not "the doctor." The sad part is, I like PAs better than M.D.s in most cases. But don't mislead me on Zocdoc and continue to do so at the office.
She was fine and friendly, and she seemed like she was knowledgeable and very professional at the skin screening I went for. However, I felt extremely rushed. I don't blame the PA at all. It just seems like the doctor pushes them to things quickly.
It felt like a patient mill, and this is sadly common with dermatologists. It's so unprofessional.

I made an appointment with the dermatologist but instead I was seen by a PA. A physician's assistant is not by any means equal to or knowledgable as a doctor. I was annoyed about that. I felt tricked that I made an appointment with an MD on ZOCDOC and then got a junior staffer who billed me a large amount.
