Greetings! Starting therapy is a meaningful step toward understanding yourself more fully, and you don’t have to do it alone. Like many people, you may have come to therapy feeling anxious, depressed, stuck in relationships, or unsettled during times of change. You may also have questions about identity and belonging. My specialty is helping people recognize the patterns that quietly shape these experiences, so that you can respond with choice rather than repetition. This is done through the integration of psychodynamic, attachment-based, trauma-informed, and skills-based approaches, during which I help you explore early relational experiences. With over a decade of clinical training and experience across a range of settings, I bring both depth and steadiness to the therapeutic process. My approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply attentive. Together, we'll listen closely for patterns, emotions, and meanings that may be outside of awareness, while keeping our work grounded, practical, and accessible. I work with adults of all ages and also attend closely to the broader systems people live within. Many struggles that feel deeply personal are often reinforced by larger cultural and economic forces. Part of the work is discerning what truly belongs to you, and what has been internalized from a demanding or dehumanizing environment. I typically work with clients on a weekly basis, as this depth-oriented work benefits from consistency and momentum. Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, but it’s often the first step toward meaningful change. Together, we’ll create space for new possibilities.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My work is typically longer-term in nature and is best suited for people interested in meeting on a weekly, consistent basis. This kind of steady rhythm allows us to build trust over time and to work thoughtfully and deeply. Many of my patients and I have worked together for several years, and I value the continuity that long-term therapy can offer. At the same time, I understand that life happens. While consistency matters, flexibility is sometimes necessary, and we can talk openly about scheduling needs as circumstances arise. My goal is to create a therapeutic process that is both reliable and humane, and can adapt while still maintaining a sense of continuity and care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work begins with an initial intake session, where I gather important background information and we begin to get a sense of what’s bringing you to therapy. This first meeting is also a chance for us to see how it feels to work together and whether my approach is a good fit for what you’re looking for. The sessions that follow are more exploratory in nature. Rather than following a set agenda or checklist, the early phase of therapy is focused on getting to know you—your experiences, patterns, relationships, and inner world—at a pace that feels thoughtful and collaborative. This open-ended structure is an intentional part of my process and allows the work to unfold in a way that’s responsive to you, rather than overly guided by a predetermined framework. Over time, this careful listening helps clarify what you’re hoping to change or understand more deeply, and it lays the foundation for meaningful, ongoing work together.
