About Dr. Joyce Davis
Dr. Joyce Davis, a graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, earned her Doctor of Medicine degree before completing an internship in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center. She then pursued her residency in Dermatology at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Recognized as one of New York’s top physicians by NY Magazine, NY Super Doctors (Top 5% of NYC MDs), and the Castle Connolly Guide to the Top Physicians in the NY Metro Area, Dr. Davis treats all conditions of the skin, hair, and nails. She has a special interest in acne, hair loss, and cosmetic dermatology, including Botox, fillers, laser hair removal, and leg vein treatments.
Patients are accommodated as quickly as possible, often with same-day, punctual appointments. Individualized, one-on-one care and half-hour appointments allow all patients to address their concerns thoroughly. Dr. Davis ensures your visit is both worthwhile and a pleasant experience. Due to this unique feature of our practice, we do not participate with any insurance plans except for Medicare for those age 65 and over. However, we have a medical biller on staff who can submit claims to your insurance company, which will be processed according to your out-of-network benefits.

They were ready for me when I walked in, offered me water, and I was brought back and seen immediately. Whole procedure was painless, and she stopped the bleeding. Other doctors have been painful and sent me home without completely stopping the bleeding.

Dr Davis is a wonderful dermatologist. She is easy to talk to, and offers knowledgable responses and effective solutions. I have been in a tough situation for a couple years, because I developed severe Irritable Bowel Syndrome and can’t take most medications or use creams, especially steroids. She first suggested some meds, but also a daily face milk bath as well which has been extremely helpful to calm the skin, as well as being open to me trying poultices of different things, as well as the creams that she has suggested. I appreciate her thoroughness, in order to rule out allergies and contact dermatitis. My next step is to try patch testing. No matter what alleviates my rash, I will appreciate her skills and temperament as a doctor.

Dr. Davis conducted a very thorough skin cancer exam - much more thorough than skin cancer exams that I've had in the past. I left feeling well taken care of.

I have seen her before and found her extremely unpleasant, aggressive, and impossible to communicate with; but since she found no CA on my skin, I was pleased with that. This time, she did find some pre-cancer, but did not really show me what she saw except to hold a mirror up to me and say -- you see! -- (which I did could not see, but only wanted to get away from her) and she instructed me to come back in two weeks and she would take care of it. And gave me some pamphlets. No explanation of what she would do, what to expect, nor offer any information on other options. She gave me no information on cost. And, in fact, never gave me a bill for the appointment. The first time, three years ago, she insisted on an imprint of my Credit Card so she could charge the balance after my insurances paid her without having to bill me and wait for a check. I have seen many doctors in my 76 years. She is the worst.

A very positive experience from start to finish. The office staff was polite and welcoming and gave their direct attention . Dr. Davis's assistant, I believe her name is Fatima, was very friendly and polite. Dr. Davis was friendly, thorough and took the time following her exam to offer advice regarding future maintenance of the condition. I was pleased to see that Dr. Davis has been named one of the top Doctors by Castle Connolly.
