She is the only child of her deceased father and the first child of her mother, with three brothers and one sister. She is also a single mother of two children.
Dr. Vansiea earned her Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, followed by a Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the same institution. She holds a Master’s in Addiction Counseling from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies and a Doctorate in Transcultural Nursing Leadership from Augsburg University.
