What should a new client know about working with you?
I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who specializes in medication management. I offer my patients telehealth visits via the HIPAA complaint website, Spruce.
What is Psychiatric Medication Management?
Psychiatric medication management is when a psychiatrist ensures your mental health meds are safe and effective. They assess your needs, prescribe medication, check how you're doing, and adjust as needed.
How is it different from therapy?
Therapy is talking through thoughts and feelings with a mental health pro to learn coping strategies.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
After you book your appointment through Zocdoc, one of our Care Navigators will reach out via SMS message to confirm with you about the next needed steps, which include downloading our communication platform 'Spruce', filling out our intake package (questions for us to get to know more about you so we can prepare for your session), and gathering logistical information such as insurance.
During our first session, my goal is to get a good understanding of what brings you to treatment. I will have questions along the way to help me learn about you, your values, preferences, and what your current struggles are.
Together, we will weigh the risks and benefits of various medication management treatments and develop a personalized plan that best suits your individual needs.

I completely agree with the person two reviews ago/the first written review. Poor bedside manner. Just very dismissive and invalidates your feelings. She dismissed my symptoms by responding "that's everyone" multiple times. I felt like she wasn't taking me seriously. She appeared nice enough when first meeting, so don't be fooled.

Poor bedside manner, completely invalidated my symptoms and feelings - claiming she “didn’t buy it” MULTIPLE times (as if I didn’t understand the first time). This is entirely unprofessional and would be considered unacceptable had a supervisor been present.

Ms. Na is by far the most compassionate, attentive, and knowledgeable mental health professional that I've ever met. She's very personable and genuinely listens to what you have to say, plus it was immediately apparent to me that she has a ton of empathy, which I haven't found to be a very common trait in the other professionals I've spoken with. What I found to be most impressive, was her wide array of knowledge and multidisciplinary approach to dealing with my particular issues. Instead of just writing a prescription, or suggesting outlandish holistic methods/supplements, she zeroed in on what was necessary for me as an individual. Then developed a multifaceted plan, which addresses my core psychological issues, made an adjustment to my medications, and she also took great care to explain the enormous impact diet/physiological health have on your overall mental state. I'm confident that she'll truly be able to help me, and consider myself lucky to have found a professional like her.
