What should a new client know about working with you?
As a safe, dynamic, experienced psychiatric Doctor, I aim to empower individuals through mental health awareness and promote healthy minds. I am compassionate about my patients' needs and follow through on their treatment plans. I work with individuals holistically, hoping that the solution will be individualized and the outcome will be exceptional. I work in a result-oriented organization where I can teach and empower my clients. At the same time, I gain insight, strengthening my skills and capabilities with every effort to improve my patients' quality of care and life.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
On the first encounter, the client will provide information about their history, including the need for a psychiatrist. The provider will offer a comfortable, nonjudgmental interaction so that the client can express themselves openly. The client will have the opportunity to ask any questions during the session. Once a diagnosis is established based on the information and nonjudgmental feedback between the provider and the client, the provider explains options for treatment to the client, and an agreement is formed. The patient will provide the name of their choice of pharmacy, and medications, if any, will be sent to the pharmacy of the client's choice. We provide talk therapy; however, if more in-depth psychotherapy is needed, the clinician will offer referrals to the client to choose from. The clinician will discuss a follow-up appointment date before the end of the call.

In fairness to Dr. Nayeem, I will say upfront that I did not see her but rather a different member of the staff at her clinic. Her office reached out ahead of time and asked if I would see another provider because Dr. Nayeem was not available. I consented.
The provider I saw spoke over me repeatedly and repeatedly made offensive comments (“it’s your choice” after finding out that I’m gay). She also insisted that my severe anxiety is because I am still living with my ex-husband and can’t stop wondering who he’s with, what he’s doing, etc. My ex-husband is one of my closest friends. My now friendship with him has nothing to do with my current anxiety.
Shortly after the alternate provider (Dr. Chinenye Akpuaka) said that only god is perfect, and asked if I believe in god, I dropped the call. She then proceeded to text me and ARGUE with me about what had happened. More went on from there but in summary, I don’t recommend this practice for those wanting help rather than a sermon.

I was not seen by the doctor I booked with and the office did not communicate this change before the visit. The doctor I saw just used a checklist to evaluate and wasn't really listening and thinking about the situation.

I spoke to Elsa who was a great listener and made me feel comfortable during the process since this was my first time. She was very thorough and prompt. The office called me the day before to confirm and called me after to make sure everything went well with my appointment. I love that I am able to do a video
appointments and they can accommodate me after 5pm. I also loved that I can access my presentation online and I received a coupon to make it cheaper at the pharmacy. 10/10 would recommend.

Dissatisfied for the following reasons: did not know what time my appt was/kept calling me at the wrong time (several hrs before on one day and 45 min after on a different appt day) even though appt times were already confirmed via text. Physicians even took a long personal call WHILE on a FaceTime dr appointment with me. All weird, highly unprofessional.

TL;DR perfect psychiatrist if you ONLY need refills on your meds and OK with calls before or after your appointment time.
Also if your psychiatrist confuses your appointment for another. And if they ask you multiple times what meds you're taking.
