Getting to know Julia Jubb

Hi! I’m Julie and am certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). My goal is to meet people where they are in life within a safe and nonjudgmental environment. I have found that I work well with patients of all ages and diagnoses through kindness, caring, and empathy. You matter and I adjust my communication style based on your unique needs. My aim is for each individual to be comfortable as we work together and focus on decreasing the stigma of mental health while providing a safe place for individuals to seek treatment that can include medication, processing difficulties, and working on coping skills and healthy lifestyle. Our first visit is an opportunity to establish connection, understanding, and building a strong therapeutic alliance. I will ask questions to understand and address your unique mental health needs. My approach is guided by evidence-based practice while helping individuals to identify their strengths and challenges. I work collaboratively to establish clear and achievable goals to promote lasting change. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband (veteran) and kids, concerts, music, outside activities, movies, working out, and game nights. I graduated with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice in Healthcare Systems Leadership and am dual certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and a PMHNP. As a nurse practitioner, I have worked with young children to older adults with varying mental health diagnoses in the outpatient setting. I have always wanted to help people on their worst days and believe that mental health affects all aspects of who we are as humans. I know that there can be a lot of trauma and even shame sometimes when seeking mental health treatment and I am here to help. I look forward to working with you.
