About Dr. Julia Shor
Dr. Julia Shor is dual board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. She completed her undergraduate studies at the City University of New York Hunter College where she double majored in biochemistry and political science. She then earned her medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine. She went on to complete her Internal Medicine Residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and then completed her Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Following the completion of her training, Dr. Shor worked in the Greater Boston Area as a general gastroenterologist. She has clinical interests in irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, gastroesophageal reflux disease, Barrett's esophagus, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and colon cancer screening, among others. She believes in a collaborative patient care approach centered on building a strong doctor-patient relationship through open communication and dialogue. Dr. Shor strives to stay current with the latest developments in gastroenterology and hepatology by participating in continuing education and attending conferences on various topics in gastroenterology. Dr. Shor believes in giving back to the community as well, and has participated in free clinics, mentorship opportunities, as well as a medical mission trip to Malawi.
