Getting to know Julian Fils

Licensed in New York (NY) and New Jersey (NJ). PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: I do not accept Medicare or Medicaid. I do not provide Suboxone management. I DO NOT DIAGNOSE ADULT ADHD. I do not evaluate patients for ADHD for the purpose of starting stimulant medications. ADHD medications are prescribed ONLY if you already have a formal diagnosis from a previous prescriber confirming ADHD. If you do not have this documentation, ADHD medication will NOT be prescribed. The first ADHD medication appointment MUST be in person. I do not complete disability, FMLA, or work-related paperwork I provide psychiatric care across the life span treating conditions such as generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, ptsd, depression, bipolar disorder, and ADHD (with prior diagnosis only). My approach is individualized, collaborative, and grounded in ethical, evidence-based care. I value treating the whole person—mind, body, and personal values—while providing compassionate care that respects each patient’s beliefs. What should a new client know about working with you?

Every client situation is unique. Throughout my career I have realized that "one size does not fit all". Therefore I approach each client from an integrative or holistic therapy approach. I blend elements from different approaches and tailor client's treatment accordingly.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first visit will consist of a 60-minute psychiatric evaluation, where we will work together to develop a plan of care tailored to your mental health needs. During this evaluation, we'll take the time to get to know you, understand your mental health concerns, and develop a plan that meets your individual needs. We'll discuss your current mental health status, any history of mental health issues, any medications you may be taking, and any other treatments you may be receiving. We'll also take a look at your current lifestyle and environment, paying close attention to any stressors that may be impacting your mental health.
