Getting to know Dr. Julie Bindeman

I have experience working with a variety of areas of concern, including reproductive challenges (infertility, pregnancy loss, and postpartum issues), depression, anxiety, self-image, body image, adjustments, and life transitions. For the last 15 years, I have worked with adults who are emerging within their identity as parents. I view effective therapy as a collaborative effort and continually seek feedback on how treatment is progressing. Believing in the strong connection between body and mind, I incorporate mind/body integration techniques such as EMDR (eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing), which can relieve stress and anxiety often held with trauma. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from George Washington University, completed my internship at Loyola University Maryland, and hold a bachelor's degree from Bard College.
