First, I have to say the office staff was extremely friendly however the doctor was completely passive and brushed off my concerns which I truly think was because of my age. l went this doctor because I wanted a new PC doctor and to discuss a lump underneath my breast that had been there for weeks
I explained that I felt I had a condition called Hidradenitis suppurativa, a condition where you develop cysts in places that get sweaty, and I stated I usually get these cysts but this limp felt different. She cuts me off, says I don’t have that condition because they become filled with puss (something that does happen to me but she didn’t ask) and tells me my lump is from scar tissue from a breast reduction i had FOUR years ago!
When asking if that was normal for scar tissue to lump after 4 years, she did an unsure shrug and said “possibly, sometimes”
she also said “I assume you’re sexually active” which i’ve never had a doctor say, again I felt my age was a factor.
just horrible.
