Ms. Justina Nwakamma is an adult psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner with experience in treating a variety of mental health conditions. She holds a master's degree in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Walden University and completed her nursing sciences education at the College of Nursing at Grand Canyon University. What should a new client know about working with you?
As an experienced mental health provider, my style and approach strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment where patients can feel comfortable expressing their thoughts, concerns, and emotions. I believe that building a strong therapeutic provider and client relationship will result in effective treatment. My therapy approach includes a client-centered approach, I tailor my treatment plans to meet the unique needs and goals of the client. I also incorporate evidence-based practices in the services I provide. I provide compassionate and good listening skills. And I look forward to working with new patients to improve their mental health goals.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I include patients in the treatment plan, respecting their confidentiality. I treat each individual as a whole person with various needs. I am patient and have compassion for my clients. I help provide answers to their questions on medications, and health topics. In my sessions, the patient, family, and caregivers are welcome to receive services and resources to assist in the patient's wellbeing.

I would never use this provider again. I had 2 appointments, one day apart, sent in all the information she requested, she said she was going to send me some medications and she NEVER sent anything in!!!!!! I almost had to go to a mental hospital because of that!

Overall my experience was mediocre. I requested an after visit summer for my appointment in which I still have not received. I also requested some type of documentation that shows the diagnosis that the doctor gave to me, but she said that she had to get permission to do so. She gave me prescriptions for medications, but is unable to give me any type of documentation showing why I was prescribed those medications. I feel that if I would have went to a hospital to receive treatment, which I will now do, then I would have been giving those requested documents.

Do not waste your time. Highly impersonal and bad listener. I felt like I was talking to a robot. I spent almost 30 minutes explaining my symptoms, Told me she would send something for my anxiety and then contradicted herself a minute later by telling me she couldn’t prescribe me anything until I filled out forms for ADHD, GAD, and Depression- all of which I am diagnosed with AND which I just explained to her in great detail.

Mrs. Justina Nwakamma was very professional and helpful especially when I talked to her about my anxiety. She was able to quickly understand me and provide me some insight on my situation.
It was a safe place for me and I will be back very soon to continue being treated by Mrs. Nwakamma. I still see her for my regular appointments and follow ups and Im more than satisfied with her services.
