I was able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Atluri only 2 weeks from scheduling. She saw me right away and was very attentive to my problems. She got right to the issue and immediately scheduled bloodwork, a follow up, and offered optional screenings in addition to the bloodwork. Highly recommended.

It's not easy to find a good primary doctor these days. I went just to establish care, and the whole process is great. The office staff, nurses, and the doctor are quite competent. Dr. Atluri took so much time to get to know me, you just don't see that these days. I would highly recommend this doctor.
Dr. Atluri is awesome, kind and very professional in her line of work and she cares about her patients, you are not just a medical number to her, she knows your name and makes you feel welcomed
Verified patient
Extreme waiting periods. I had to wait for more than two hours before I saw the doctor, which was extremely inconvenient. The doctor was good but the wait was painful.
Verified patient
Great introductory appointment; I felt all of the staff were kind, considerate, and knowledgable. Dr. Atluri was professional and made me feel welcome.

Dr. Atluri is amazing. I have no other word to describe her. My mother is actually her paitent and even though we have visited a whole lot of doctors over the last three years, I have yet to see a more compassionate and competent physician.
They were nice got my paperwork done didn't wait long to get in the back but it seemed like forever to be seen by the dr all in all good experience and this was my first time with her so I had a little bit of paperwork to fill out
Verified patient
I booked my appt. on ZocDoc but when I got there, they didn't have any of my papers or files so I had to fill everything out all over again. After I filled the papers out within five minutes they called my name and I went to the back. The doctor was nice and friendly, and did everything well.
I felt very comfortable with my doctor. I will definitely be using her as my primary from here on forward. I do have to call to have my return to work letter fixed, but that shouldn't be an issue. The nurse who printed it didnt know what I needed exactly. other than that, this was one of the best appointments I've had. I tend to have anxiety when it comes to these things, but I was very happy with this.

The check-in process at Dr.Kalpana Atluri's front desk, post appointment followup and the overall quality of MedStar Harbor Hospital is HORRIBLE! Do not go to MedStar! They are slow and inconsiderate of your time. The bad service completely overshadows the nice personality of Dr.Atluri directly. By then you don't care. Completing the ZocDoc Check-in paper work is meant to save time and to ensure a smooth check-in process once you get to your appointment. I got there and they made me fill out the paper work all over again. Then after seeing multiple staff in the process it took 1 hour to finally get to Dr. Atluri. I had to repeat the information I gave her assistant all over again. What was the purpose of wasting time by sending your assistant if you make me repeat details all over again? Nurses and Dr.Atluri said that they don't have access to the check-in paper work in their ZocDoc account and they double book patients explaining the long wait. Her schedule will show her available when she is NOT. She said she will look into this. I hope so. I won't ever be going back.

Never going here again. Waited over 70 minutes when I arrived on-time for my appointment. No one came over to tell me that there would be a ridiculous wait. When I was finally seen by the doctor, the doctor looked at me for 5 minutes, then prescribed antibiotics. This did not resolve the issue, and I had to see another doctor instead. No mention of making me wait or any kind of apology. If you like wasting your entire day in the waiting room and being treated as a number by the doctor, by all means, go here.

My appointment was much, much better this time. I figure last time, since it was my first visit, her initial thing was to get my information. This time it was much more informative. Very happy this visit.
Verified patient
Appointment was triple booked, then about 5 minutes before scheduled time, we were informed the doctor was going to be late getting to the office.
Verified patient
It wasn't a bad visit. I went early in the morning because I'm an in as early as possible kind of person. I found Dr. Atluri no different from any other doctor I saw when I lived up in NYC. She asked a ton of questions. I have Hypothyroidism and she asked questions related to that. I think her bedside manor was a bit lacking. Like she turned away from me while she asked questions and turned the computer to totally face her, which wasn't a big deal. There was little eye contact while she questioned me. Not that I need her to like stare at me but a little acknowledgement would have been nice. It was a little robotic feeling. That being said she was very thorough. My appointment went nicely and I was in with her for no longer than twenty minutes.

The result of my appointment was to have lab work done. Dr. Alturi told me that she would call me in 3 days. It has now been weeks. I have called multiple times. Each time a receptionist tells me that Dr. Alturi will call me to review the results (which are in). But I never hear anything.

The front desk staff is great, they were very busy and handled a patient escalation well. The residents dr. Atluri has are incredible too, however I did not feel that dr. Atluri listened to a word I said and was not understanding or compassionate AT ALL.
I loved the experience. The staff made me feel so comfortable, even before Dr Atluri came in to see me. I will definitely go back there!
Verified patient
Very professional. Never made me feel like my concerns weren't important. Willing to go the extra mile for a treatment plan that will work for me.
Verified patient
All the nurses! front ladies very kind & helpful. Brardi treated me with a smile & comfort. Nick Dr. was very intuitive, precise in his questioning. Kind friendly & comfortable. Things seem to run very efficiently and smoothly. Was greeted by all with a smile and sent along with well wishes.
Always pleasant
