Getting to know Kammie Pierce

My name is Kammie Pierce, and I'm a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Master's in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from West Coast University. I provide virtual Telehealth services for patients based in California and am partnered with Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare. With an open mind, I focus on understanding each patient's unique needs, offering thoughtful diagnoses and personalized treatment. I have particular experience with adults who have experienced trauma, the LGBTQ+ community, alternative lifestyles, and foster care survivors. Common issues patients work on with me include, but are not limited to, depression, anxiety, trauma, insomnia, mood disorders, and adjustment disorders. I believe in the power of patient collaboration and strive to create a supportive environment where all feel heard and empowered. I am confident that together, the path to clarity and confidence is achievable. I approach each initial assessment as a history-gathering process to gain a comprehensive picture of what has happened, what is currently going on, and what the patient wants to address. With this information, we jointly create a treatment plan. From there, over the following sessions, my goal is to provide ongoing management and assessment of how the treatment plan we have created is working. I look forward to learning from and growing with every individual I meet. I want every patient to know that no matter what is going on, I am astounded by the bravery it takes to seek treatment, and I have faith in our ability to create healthier and lasting well-being.
