About Kara Govoni
Kara Govoni is a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) and Menopause Society-Certified Practitioner who is also currently working towards an AASECT certification as a Sexuality Counselor. She earned her Master’s in Nurse Midwifery from The Ohio State University. Kara has worked as a full-scope CNM for the past 13 years in both obstetrics and gynecology, but over the past five years, she has honed her specialty in sexual health and midlife care. She feels an increasing passion to help women during some of the most vulnerable—but least-talked-about—times in their lives.

I was skeptical of my appointment, but left feeling very optimistic! Kara addressed all my questions and concerns. She provided me options and what each pros and cons will be. I look forward to starting my HRT and feeling hopeful ad at ease.

Kara is thoughtful and knowledgeable. I sought Kara's support to address symptoms of menopause.
I felt heard, seen and that my concerns & issues were important and worth resolving. Kara explained the causes of my issues and offered me multiple convenient options to resolve or reduce them. VERY HELPFUL!

I loved Kara! She did a great job of listening to me and offering me options in how to manage my care. She definitely had a preferred plan of action, but did a good job of presenting a balanced case for the various choices. I was able to be seen quickly, and the reminders helped me be sure I wouldn't miss my appointment.

The practitioner Kara Giovani and the doctor Laurel Edmondsen that I saw were amazing. Compassionate and answered all my questions. They took their time, they heard my concerns and my symptoms. Perimenopause is such a challenging time and often times women are brushed off and expected to just deal with it but at Elektra health the empathy along with solid answers to support as well as the attention to listen was something I have not experienced anywhere else as of yet. I highly recommend this service. Making appointments was very easy and when I had questions and needed refills about the HRT I was prescribed, they responded immediately through email. The app is also very good.
