About Karen Chase
Dr. Karen Chase is a licensed acupuncturist in New York and is nationally board certified by NCCAOM (National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). Ms. Chase holds a master’s degree in acupuncture from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with training in Chinese and Japanese style of acupuncture. She is also a doctor of Naturopathic Medicine.
While Dr. Chase treats all medical conditions, she has had particular success with orthopedic, dermatological and digestive issues.
Dr. Karen Chase has developed a system of Anti-Aging Acupuncture. She specializes in TCM dermatology and cosmetic acupuncture. Dr. Chase is certified in the application of facial rejuvenation acupuncture and has studied the theories and techniques of Martha Lucas, Elizabeth Wakefield, Lillian Bridges, Ping Zhang, Paul Adkins, and Jean Hanner. Dr Chase has taken various components and has created her own unique protocol in order to utilize the best available techniques for her patients. She has had great success in the treatment of acne.
Dr. Chase has participated in advanced palpatory diagnosis and acupuncture trainings with Dan Bensky and Peter Deadman. She has advanced certification in Zheng Gu Tui Na through Tom Bisio and Frank Butler. She has also studied orthopedic-style acupuncture with Matt Callison and Bill Helm. she is certified in Neurofunctional Electrical Acupuncture.
Dr. Chase looks at you as a whole person, rather than focusing on the symptoms. She approaches healing and longevity from many perspectives: bioenergetically through acupuncture and e-stim, biomechanically through manipulation, and biochemically through herbs, homeopathy and nutrition. Karen uncovers the root cause of your health problems, and then enables your body’s natural healing capabilities.

Excellent! My first experience w/acupuncture. Karen Chace is thorough in finding out any and all symptoms and conditions you may be having. And also good at explaining what to expect w/the needles. I felt immediate relief! This clinic is excellent. They combined PT, acupuncture, massage therapy into one session. I came in there with severe pain due to back problems and left feeling much better. Highly recommended.

Karen made me feel right at home, she gave me a lot of tips and articles/books to read. She knows her stuff! This was my first appointment with her and i will now see her weekly for acupuncture for pregnancy.

Dr. Chase uses a holistic approach to figure out the root cause of tricky ailments and is able to explain things in an easy to understand manner. She's super friendly, never in a rush, has deep knowledge of Eastern and Western medicine, and has helped me with my sinus issues, occasional shoulder pain-I send all of my friends and coworkers to her!
