About Dr. Karl Kado

Dr. Karl Kado is a graduate of Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida, where he received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree as well as his Master of Science degree in Biomedical Science. He also earned his Bachelor's degree from The Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Kado completed a two-year comprehensive residency program at Meadowlands Hospital and Medical Center in Secaucus, NJ. His training included hundreds of foot and ankle surgeries, with special emphasis on advanced procedures for bunion and hammertoe repair and ankle arthroscopy. He is very experienced in sports medicine and treats many runners and athletes. Actively involved in physical fitness, Dr. Kado has a personal understanding of the needs of athletic individuals. He treats patients with caring and concern while applying the knowledge he has attained over more than twenty years in practice. Dr. Kado attends podiatric medical seminars each year as part of continuing medical education to stay current with advances in his field. He is certified in Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), an innovative, in-office, non-invasive treatment for patients suffering from chronic heel and arch pain. He also employs state-of-the-art Pulse Dye Laser Treatment for painful warts of the foot. Recently, Dr. Kado has been using amniotic tissue injections to treat difficult cases. Additionally, he is Medicare approved to dispense extra-depth shoes with custom and heat-molded inserts for qualifying diabetic patients. Diabetic foot care is an important part of his practice, including educating patients about the importance of proper foot care for long-term health.
