Getting to know Dr. Kate Wilsey

Welcome! My name is Kate, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist who values creating a therapeutic space that is warm, respectful, empathic, and validating. I’m deeply committed to supporting individuals and couples as they tackle life’s challenges, focusing on fostering growth, resilience, and connection. My approach blends expertise with humanity, tailoring interventions to fit your unique needs. As a psychologist, I strive to be your teammate in the healing and growth process, helping you uncover strengths, overcome barriers, and build a life aligned with your values and goals (and maybe even share a few laughs along the way). I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology and Master’s degree from Antioch University New England in Keene, NH, and my Bachelor’s degree from Skidmore College. For over six years, I honed my skills working at several VA systems, where I had the privilege of learning from incredible Veterans and colleagues alike. This included year-long specialty trainings in Prolonged Exposure for PTSD (PE-PTSD), Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD (CPT-PTSD), and the full-throttle, comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT and DBT-PE). Along the way, I was awarded the Outstanding Early Career Achievement, served as the Group Psychotherapy Coordinator, and worked as a comprehensive DBT team member at two VA facilities. These experiences didn’t just fill my "toolbox"—they shaped my deep respect for the strength, complexity, and resilience of the people I’m honored to work with every day.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Dr. Kate has definitely been so helpful to me. She is open to listening to me as well as seeing things I have missed. Before seeing her I was leary about therapy. I am now more eager to seeing her more often when I can. I feel like I can really grow with her on my team!
