About Dr. Katherine Callaghan

Dr. Katie Callaghan was born and raised on Long Island, NY. She stayed in the state for college, attending Cornell University where she was a research assistant in the Cornell Infant Studies Laboratory. She graduated with a degree in Human Biology, Health and Society, obtaining AOA Honor Society distinction. After college she was accepted to Stony Brook School of Medicine and completed her clinical training at Winthrop University Hospital. Like many others in our practice, she moved to Delaware to pursue her pediatric residency at AI dupont Children’s Hospital for Children and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She is certified in pediatric and neonatal life support. Her passions in medicine include vaccine counseling and adolescent mental health. When not in the office, she enjoys crafting, cooking and indoor and outdoor gardening. Dr. Callaghan sees patients in both our Appoquinimink and Wilmington locations.
