The fresh baked cookies in the waiting room were a sweet surprise! ”

About Dr. Katherine Gilmore

Friendly staff. Prompt with appointment time. Explained everything they were going to do. Very patient with my 95 y.o. mother. Doctor Gilmore and staff are good listeners and communicators. Very pleasant overall experience.

Appointment went smoothly! My concerns were listened to and addressed by Dr. Kate, and the medical student who ran the hearing test did great as well. The office was easily accessible and the receptionist went beyond what was needed to make sure I had the best promo going for my payment. Highly recommend!

I was very happy with the entire experience. I got a full hearing test, which is the reason I booked the appointment, and Dr. Katherine Gilmore, whose married name is Dr. Mikhailov (and maybe ZocDoc wants to correct that) explained the results in layman's terms. I knew I'd want hearing aids but I never felt pressured to go that route. Dr. M. explained the options, took the time to answer all my questions. The appointment took about an hour and I never felt rushed. The entire staff was kind, patient, and professional and I'm excited to go back to continue my hearing journey with them.

Excellent experience. My mother is 88 years old and struggled to hear with hearing aids provided by her previous audiologist. The previous audiologist said that was the best that they could do and sent her home. Dr. Gilmore at NYC Hearing Associates was more proficient with the latest technology, and after some advanced testing, she got more out of my mother's Phonak hearing aids. She can now enjoy conversations and looks forward to interacting with friends and family. I am thrilled.

Was seen for a follow up after failing a hearing test from my FD physical. Turns out, I do have a hearing problem and need hearing aids. Dr. Gilmore explained my results and worked with me to come up with the best solution to my problem and select the equipment that will suit mne best.

Scheduling was easy and they sent reminders and forwarded necessary paperwork ahead of time. Appointment was smooth and Dr. Gilmore explained everything that was going on for the ear impressions. Small snag with their new billing system but they figured it out afterwards. No big deal.

Very pleased with the experience except that the hearing aid had to be paid for in full up front instead of billing insurance first and also before the 45 day free trial of Lyric. If it doesn’t help and it is returned I can only get 90% refund. The add in the newspaper does not reflect that.
