I completed my Bachelor's degree in Dietetics at Illinois State University and am currently in the process of obtaining my Master's in Nutrition at Arizona State University. I also have my undergraduate degree in health education from Bradley University. Prior to becoming a dietitian, I provided general health information, including nutrition, to my local community. This experience sparked my interest in nutrition education. After seeing how diet culture affected my friends and family, I decided to pursue dietetics to be the support so many need. I have been working as a dietitian in the eating disorder field for two years, supporting both adult and adolescent populations in an intensive outpatient setting. In this role, I provide group meal support, lead nutrition education groups, and conduct individual sessions with clients. While I enjoy working in groups, I am eager to transition to private practice, where I can offer more individualized care and education. Group content can be challenging to tailor to every client's needs, but individual sessions allow me to focus specifically on each person. I prefer to meet with clients weekly to provide the time and space to address questions and concerns promptly. Typically, a session begins with a review of the previous week, discussing successes and any challenges that need attention.
