Dr. Kathleen Thompson believes in creating meaningful relationships and encouraging open communication with patients to embrace a team approach to medical care. The practice offers personalized medical care to address each patient’s immediate needs and concerns. We provide gentle healthcare, including full obstetrical care and gynecology services from the initial exam through menopause and beyond. Dr. Thompson provides the most current procedures available and specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgeries for various conditions, including pelvic pain, fibroids, heavy menstrual bleeding, and uterine prolapse. The practice also offers in-office procedures for quick recovery, including Essure sterilization, hysteroscopy, D&C, and Novasure/Thermachoice endometrial ablation. Dr. Thompson takes pride in her holistic approach to medicine to find the best treatment—from conservative to surgical management—that serves each individual’s needs.
Dr. Thompson recently relocated from Chicago to start practicing obstetrics and gynecology with her partner, Dr. David Lashway. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. During her training, she received many accolades, including Excellence as Chief Resident and the Douglas Rhone Legacy Award, which highlights Dr. Thompson’s ability to provide excellent medical care using a team approach.
