About Kayla Windham

After earning my undergraduate degree in nursing, I spent seven years gaining diverse clinical experience. I worked locally at Roper St. Francis and the Medical University of South Carolina, as well as across the country as a travel nurse. I later advanced my education by earning a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and became board certified in 2022. Staying engaged in my profession is a priority. I am an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and have co-authored two academic publications one focused on reducing hospital-acquired pressure injuries and the other on adolescent depression. As a proud Charleston native, I'm grateful to be working in a role that aligns with both my professional goals and personal roots. Outside of work, I enjoy exercising, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
